we've only got one world

we all need to do our bit to keep it cool

As we all know, global warming has become a major threat to our planet's future. Unfortunately no matter what industry we work in, our companies produce CO2 (which is one of the green gases emissions polluting our atmosphere) as a by-product of doing business.

The good news is that we can all do something about it and still live our lives to the full, with our plans and aspirations. SPC Overseas has decided to take action, by reducing its carbon emissions as much as possible. We are taking some simple measures to reduce emissions and to offset some of our surplus emissions by investing in projects around the world that reduce CO2 or absorb CO2 released in the atmosphere.

SPC Overseas has decided to also offset the C02 generated by its clients who fly and buy investments, whether they are in Brazil, Spain, Cape Verde, Hungary, Morocco or elsewhere.

Some people tell use that it goes beyond our duty and that there is no need to offset our client's CO2 emissions generated from flights. But we view this differently. There shouldn't be a choice between commercial interest and saving the planet. People who think that being green is only for old bearded environmentalists need to wake up. We're all in this one together and if we can help, we will. We believe it right that our company takes the positive action of offsetting the CO2 resulting from client flights.
