For buy to let property investments, it has been proven that certain types of property in certain locations rent out particularly well for very specific reasons.

A long term property rental strategy offers consistency of income throughout the year, whereas a short term strategy, which will enable you to have use of your property and also enjoy you investment when it is not rented out. You need to consider the type of person that you want to target for rentals, as this should have a big influence on the type of property that you buy. Some developers offer guaranteed rental schemes with a fixed return for a fixed number of years and some allow personal usage of the property for a limited period.
